Embark on a transformative journey with our Board and Train program. In this comprehensive four-week program, your dog will experience an on-leash and off-leash training extravaganza.
Nurture your puppy’s potential with our Puppy Training program . Designed for pups aged four to eight months, this program spans two weeks and covers essential obedience behaviors.
In each one-hour session, our expert trainers will focus on tailoring the training to meet your specific needs and goals. Whether it’s mastering loose leash walking, crate training, managing reactivity, or diving into sports, we’ve got you covered.
In regards to training what separates us is our in depth knowledge of many different forms of training and extensive real world & Sport application. Constantly testing our training to stay on the verge of the most modern methods. Each dog that comes to us for training receives an individual tailored training program to best meet their needs.
What sets us apart from other local trainers is our 10-acre property designed specifically for dog training. With over 2 acres of fenced-in play and training space, we can safely work on off-leash reliability and real-world skills. Jocko’s family also lives on-site, ensuring your dog is supervised, supported, and cared for around the clock.
Zach’s passion for dogs and training is what sparked the idea of launching Common Canine in his home state of New York. Since starting his business, Zach has trained hundreds of pets of all ages, sizes, and breeds. His focus of education has resulted in more long-term, positive owner and pet relationships than most trainers.
Giving back to the community in Upstate New York and beyond is a focus of Zach’s business. He actively works with local rescues to train and rehab dogs to find permanent and successful homes.
Outside of training, Zach competes in dog sports such as French Ring and Mondioring. Alongside his Belgian Malinois Jocko, Zach has succeeded in securing French Ring 3 and Mondioring 1 titles. 2025 Eastern Regional Champion and 2025 National Champion with the highest championship average in the history of the organization.

The Board & Train program is a four-week comprehensive on-leash and off-leash training, priced at $4000.
Absolutely! The Day Camp program is designed for dogs to experience both essential obedience training and return home each night. It’s a perfect blend of training and family time.
Private Lessons are priced at $150 for a one-hour session. These sessions are tailored to address specific training needs, providing personalized attention to you and your dog.
