In regards to training what separates us is our in depth knowledge of many different forms of training and extensive real world & Sport application. Constantly testing our training to stay on the verge of the most modern methods. Each dog that comes to us for training receives an individual tailored training program to best meet their needs.
Our Doggy Daycare Program is by far different from all others in the area. Our top priority is the safety and overall well-being of dogs within our care. We pride ourselves on running a structured program with small group play sessions and decompression breaks throughout the day which allows the dogs thrive when staying or playing at Jocko’s Ruff House.
Zach’s passion for dogs and training is what sparked the idea of launching Common Canine in his home state of New York. Since starting his business, Zach has trained hundreds of pets of all ages, sizes, and breeds. His focus of education has resulted in more long-term, positive owner and pet relationships than most trainers.
Giving back to the community in Upstate New York and beyond is a focus of Zach’s business. He actively works with local rescues to train and rehab dogs to find permanent and successful homes.
Outside of training, Zach competes in dog sports such as French Ring and Mondioring. Alongside his Belgian Malinois Jocko, Zach has succeeded in securing French Ring 2 and Mondioring 1 titles. In 2023, the pair finished second in the eastern regional championship. The pair also achieved the highest level 2 score in the history of NARA 298/300.

The Board & Train program is a four-week comprehensive on-leash and off-leash training, priced at $4000.
Absolutely! The Day Camp program is designed for dogs to experience both essential obedience training and return home each night. It’s a perfect blend of training and family time.
Private Lessons are priced at $150 for a one-hour session. These sessions are tailored to address specific training needs, providing personalized attention to you and your dog.
On Saturdays, drop-off is from 7-9, and pick-up is from 11-1. This schedule ensures flexibility for weekend activities while providing a safe and enjoyable environment for your dog.
